Americans Disagree With Bailing Out Homeowners2/23/09 Tags: Economy From Rasmussen (conducted: 2/21-22/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) IN a recent Rasmussen Reports telephone survey, it found out that 55% of those polled overall felt that it was a bad idea that the federal government will bail out defaulted homeowners. President Obama introduced a bill that would subsidized mortgage payments for those homeowners in trouble, and thus would help them avoid foreclosure. It is not surprising that 77% of Republicans support this idea. This autor believes that it is about time that the average Joe received some form of a bailout. It has been too long that big corporations received tax-payer back loans; it is now time for the American people to receive a kick back.Rougly half of Democrats agree with the no support of this bill. We all need help from time to time, and this author applauds the president for introducing this bill and helping out the common American troubled with home foreclosure.
