While things may be quieting down in Iraq, the war on terror in Afghanistan is heating up. In a recent telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen, 71% of American adults feel that president-elect Obama will be sending more troops to this country when he eventually takes office this year.

This shift in sentiment is due in most part to the instability of the region and the understanding that in order to protect our freedoms we must protect others' and root out potential threats to this country.

What was said on the campaign trail can often be lost and distorted when it comes down to it. obama will do his best to protect this country, even if it means sending more of our brave men and women into harm's way.
