Americans Hold Steady Views Regarding President Obama's Economic Plan3/29/09 Tags: Economy From Gallup (conducted: 3/25/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) Gallup polling recently found that Americans' viewpoints regarding the economic stimulus plan remain steady, amidst all the drama that have arisen since its introduction a few weeks ago. The biggest change in the polling numbers is the amount of people who feel positive about the plan (a decrease of 5 percentage points, from 44% to 39%). Even still, those who feel negative about the plan hold steady (it was 26% On February 27-28). The more interesting aspect of this poll is the amount of undecideds: about a third of those asked said they didn't know enough to say anything. This is perhaps due to the voluminous amount of text in the economic plan and certain points that have yet to be mentioned by the President. This author, though, feels confident that President Obama will right this economic ship and set sail for prosperity by investing in our infrastructure and putting money back into the economy.
