» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

Nuclear energy is another form of energy that we as a civilization can use to generate power for our homes, cars, and industry. But, is it really safe? According to a recent yearly Gallup poll conducted earlier this month, it found that a majority of Americans favor its use. In fact, 59% favor it and 27% strongly favor it (the largest show of support for nuclear energy to date).

To this author, nuclear energy is a viable option, but one that should be used with caution. A nuclear meltdown is always a possibility. We should also try to research another form of harnessing energy for our needs.
