Americans Want The Government To Recover Latest AIG Bailout Money3/20/09 Tags: General From Gallup (conducted: 3/17/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) AIG is the model of corporate greed. With another bailout scandal hitting this zombie company yet again, one has to wonder what these boneheads are thinking. In a recent Gallup poll, the pollsters found that a great majority (76%) believe the government should try to recover the latest bailout money AIG has received. The scandal revolves around the handling of funds by AIG from the federal government. AIG apparently paid exorbitant bonuses to its executives, instead of using the bailout money to fix its financial solvency. The American people should be outraged and demand this company to return the latest financial bailout installment. This is what happens when responsibility is given to corporations: more often than not, corruption and greed take over.
