» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

In a recent Rasmussen Reports telephone survey, the polling group found that almost half of those polled want the economy to improve first before tackling on the health care issue.

Party-wise, 66% of Democrats wants the president to tackle the issue concurrently, while 72% of Republicans want the president to wait.

Health care reform has been a contentious topic in the last few decades, but nothing much has been done to alleviate it. This author disagrees with the majority of Republicans who say that healthcare reform should be placed in the backburner. If not now, then when?

Too many people are going bankrupt because of the increasing cost of medical care. This author believes that fixing the health care issue while likewise turn the economy around.
