» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

It seems that the passing of the economic stimulus bill has prompted many to look favorably upon the Congress. In a recent Gallup poll, it found that 31% now approve of how the Congress is doing their job.

This has been the highest rating for this body since 2 years ago and this author feels that this will remain high until there is discord. As long as Congress is trying and working towards fixing this country, the majority of the American people will be pleased.

Congress has always stagnated because differing viewpoints have always contradicted and blocked key legislations. What makes it so fair and balanced is its ultimate downfall. Now that we have the same party in both the executive and legislative branch, perhaps now we can actually acheive progress and do something productive.
