» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

Hindsight is always 20/20, and very much like Monday morning quarterbacking, Americans are now regretting the fact that the federal government used the bailout strategy to help failing business and financial institutions.

No real tangible effects from the bailouts have occurred, thus leading people to believe that these safety measures were all made for naught.

But, we will never know if indeed the bailout helped or hindered our current economic state.

Our stock market did indeed stabilize and the falling dollar value did find a level, so this begs the question: did the bailouts actually work?

According to this author we will not find the true answer until a few years from now. At this point, let us just thank that our economy has stabilized and will hopefully one day reached its prior prominence.
