» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

As President Barack Obama takes the reigns of the executive office, Americans now ponder if race relations are now different.

Almost half of those interviewed by Rasmussen believe that this will signal a new era of race relations, while others believe this will not.

To this author, this new president has opened up the possibility that anyone, regardless of race, can now be anything they want to be. Although we still have a way to go, racial equality is becoming more of a reality, rather than simply a dream.

Racism is slowly dying and with the help of education, hopefully one day we can all enjoy the rich racial tapestry of this nation, without hatred and bigotry.

We here at www.usaelectionpolls.com wish God Speed to President Barack Obama.
