Party Identifications And Gender5/8/09 Tags: General From Gallup (conducted: 3/15-30/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) In a recent Gallup quarterly survey, the polling organization found that the number of people claiming themselves as Republican are declining. The gender most affected by this switch are Republican men, who are switching over to the Independent sector of the political spectrum. This poll shows the increasing popularity of Democrats and the decreasing image of the Republican party. Republicans have lost touch of reality and according to this author will continue to lose elections until they change their ideology. If one has ever taken a sociology class, this author cannot fathom such a person to ever consider being Republican. Such a political ideology is so exculsive and only benefitst those in power and the rich. This author is somewhat thankful to prior President Bush for showing this country how truly manipulative, greedy, and self-serving the Republican party truly is.
