Voters Think Caroline Kennedy Not Fit For Senate Seat12/20/08 Tags: Congress, Senate Races From Rasmussen Reports
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) American politics is a funny thing. The daughter of slain president John F. Kennedy is planning to take over the Senate Seat that Hillary Clinton will be vacating next month, but speculations about her qualifications have risen. According to voters polled by Rasmussen Reports, 37% do not believe she would be fit for the Senate. This author believes that Caroline would not be a great addition to the Senate, since she has had no formal governing experience. Her addition to the Senate would mostly be due to legacy, and although she would have clout (since her last name is Kennedy), she will not be a strong voice in the Senate. The governor should select a more qualilfied candidate and one who will serve the great state of New York with experience.
